Check Your Brake Adjustment Before You Roll
Brakes Released
READY TO ROLL
With brakes released (ready to roll) the clevis pin indicator must be touching the inside of the front gauge pin. This position confirms that the pushrod is returning fully to the released position.
Brakes Applied
ADJUSTMENT CORRECT
Apply service brake (with air pressure at 100 PSI). The clevis pin indicator must not go past the inside of the rear gauge pin. This is the preset readjustment limit.
Brakes Applied
OUT OF ADJUSTMENT
If the cleves pin indicator is touching or past the rear gauge pin the brakes must be checked by a qualified technician before using the vehicle.
